Chocolate Dessert for Two

chocolate dessert for two

Today I had the need for chocolate. But not just ordinary chocolate. Warm, decadent chocolate that you can lick off your fingers. This was born out of that crazy need. I like to make my own desserts now and experiment. So this is super easy to do.

What you will need:

  • 30-50ml of Amaretto (Disaronno) Italian liqueur
  • 170g dark chocolate
  • 100g sugar or brown sugar (you can add later more, depends of how sweet you wanted it to be)
  • plain biscuits
  • 50-60g butter
  • 80-100g mascarpone cream (or whatever plain cream you have)
  • 50-60ml milk

Begin by melting the butter along with the mascarpone in a small/medium pan over medium heat. Then add the crumpled chocolate, sugar and milk. Whisk together until a sauce begins to take form and then add the Amaretto. In two wine glasses crumple the biscuits and then with a spoon drizzle the Amaretto chocolate sauce. Add another layer of crumpled biscuits and then drizzle again the chocolate on top. You can make as many layers as you want, and on top put a few slices of fresh oranges.

That is all. One decadent, easy and fast chocolate dessert to enjoy with your other half, perfect for upcoming Valentine’s Day.

I made these cupcakes and they were diivne! It only cooked for 10 min. When I saw in shop, how much fat is in mascarpone, I balked. So I used plain smooth cottage cheese – it wasn’t a thick frosting, but very nice.

Glad they turned delicious. I know, mascarpone is full of fat but oh, so divine.
