The Long Black Skirt

I am declaring this the year of long/maxi skirts and dresses. I myself have never owned long, drapey dresses and skirts except in my teenage days when I lived with my parents and would come home from school on those hot Summer days and would jump into my long dresses. I had two that I bought at a thrift shop, but then I didn’t have this blog. I wore them until they were rags, I loved them so much, but somehow I never engaged in the idea of wearing them outside my house. I’ve always felt they would make me look shorter.

Fast forward to know and I am in love with them. They make your silhouette this long, beautiful, elegant dream shape that I LOVE.

This long black skirt is my latest endeavor in smart/sales shopping. Thought it would look gorgeous with my black faux-leather jacket. My accessories were matched to fit a bird theme, pairing my cute bird long pendant with my absolute favorite long scarf that has a bird pattern and my awesome winged earrings, along with my cat pom-pom, these days I never go anywhere without it.

It was me and Diana on a very cold Saturday afternoon, frolicking through town as we usually do. This time I didn’t even feel the cold.
