Again and again I am drawn to the simple British aesthetic: a cool trench and finally a Burberry shirt. Black. Simple.
A few days ago I found myself travelling to Bucharest, with work. I surely missed the way a big city feels on me. I always come back changed, beginning with how I choose to dress. I missed traffic, the avalanche of people, the rushing, the way people are there. And I missed me in one of those cities. Busy, with my Starbucks in one hand and my ever present laptop. Busy at the office and party ready by 6pm. Needless to say I roamed the streets until 4 am with just a couple of hours to switch myself from my office heels to my party heels. That’s why in this post we’ll talk again about the classics and how they can save you in any situation.
What I consider a must have in every wardrobe are these ever present classics:
- a good trench
- jeans
- a simple/classic shirt
- simple/classic pair of not so high heels
- a good designer bag.
I’m a simple girl, I don’t ask much, just an apartment sky high and the city lights below me. Ever since I was little I did not dream of a quiet little house, in the middle of nowhere, to have and cherish as my own, that “one day dream“. I don’t do quiet. Although I’m really anxious and need space all the time I don’t wallow in it… much. I’m really social and fun, I like my nights spent meaningful, with lots of people: friends and strangers.
This post is how I adore to dress as of more recent: lost in a big trench, skinny jeans, a classic shirt and heels. It may look as a “seen that, done that before look“, but who cares, I choose the classics before anything else now. You will stand out more if you do too.
Here’s another post (written exactly one year ago) where I talk about another experience in another big city.
As always,
Wearing: Trench Coat // thrifted, Shirt // Burberry, Jeans // C&A, Heels // Zara, Earrings // Burberry, Bag // Zara.
