If you follow me on Instagram you will clearly see I’m still on an island in Greece. It’s because I cannot let go of Summer. The days may be a lot shorter but I’m still adjusting, The only thing I look forward to now are long trench coats, super comfy sweaters and my cats lounging on me. Literally.
That’s how Autumn is: sneaking up on you until you can’t wear your perfect toes out. And too bad, because I’ve just gotten a fresh pedicure, thinking colder days will be a long wait. So it’s time today I give a “how to” guide for all of you transitioning from Summer into Autumn. My top 5 things to do are:
- the first thing to reach out for whilst transitioning is a light jacket. One you can take off at lunch and put back on later going out for drinks. If you’re into that. But who isn’t?
- the big scarfs will make now a swift appearance, back again into your wardrobe, so keep those handy.
- wear your toes out for as much as you can manage.
- retire those tropical prints.
- spend a day looking for all your beige, red, black, green and burgundy clothes you have – all the Autumn colors you can find. Start wearing them now.
Let’s hope this Autumn will be warm and dry.
As always,
