After Leven and Anstruther (because I was on a beach high), we decided to take one more day out of Edinburgh and see North Berwick. If you don’t know, North Berwick is famous for its Seabird Center and in the summertime the puffins come here to spend time before retreating with all seabird wildlife to the nearest little islands on the North Sea. Those small islands near North Berwick are Bass Rock and Craigleith.
It’s a wonderful destination if you are into big birds and puffins. The Seabird Center offers rides to the nearest islands to see the wildlife. The town itself is wonderful, straight out of a fairy tale book. By the time we got there we’ve already experienced rain, drizzle, a rainbow and then straight sunshine until sunset. It was wonderful and Scotland like (the weather, I mean).
North Berwick is just a few stations away from Edinburgh by train, the easiest beachy getaway, about 30 minutes outside the city. Again, I had windy hair and the same parka jacket I wore for a week. This was, by far, my favorite destination in Scotland. All the photos were made by my lovely boyfriend.
As always,
I was wearing: Parka Jacket // thrifted, Sweater // thrifted, Jeans // Primark, Boots // Zaful, Earrings // H&M.
