It’s been two years since I last saw Budapest. Two years in which a lot has changed. Two years in which the world has changed. A travel destination sought by many, a travel destination only three hours away from me. If you’re looking to go and spend a few days in this gorgeous city, here’s what you should look for:
- the views at Buda Castle
- the immenseness of The Hungarian Parliament
- the colonnades in Heroes Square
- the beauty of The Fisherman’s Bastion
- the Champs-Élysées of Budapest, the Andrássy Avenue
- the famous Gellért Baths
- this time of the year, The Christmas Market on Váci utca.
The traditional cuisine is a must (especially the goulash served in a bread bowl) and the views from Buda Castle are a must. We stayed near Heroes Square and for the first time used the metro (I’ve been over a thousand times in Budapest, but never seen the metro) the stations are beautiful and very much like a walk back in time. It’s the most wonderful time of the year and the Christmas Markets are open, already full of tourists (you have to be fully vaccinated to enter). I hope you’ll travel with me back again, as I have plenty of views from the Danube to show, as well as parts of the old town that are so beautiful. Let’s go 🙂
As always,
I was wearing: Jacket // Zara, Jumper // New Yorker, Jeans // Reserved, Boots // Altercore, Backpack // Zara, Skull Scarf // Polo Garage, Earings // New Yorker, Necklace // random, Mickey pouch // H&M.
