Sicily is really hot in August. My White Lotus dream was to be fabulous and at least manage to get a drink at San Domenico’s Bar. This is the hotel where the White Lotus season 2 was filmed.
But alas, I did not make a reservation on time and was told August is a really busy month in Taormina, for everyone. Needless to say, I was denied an entrance. I made up for it with lots of Aperol Spritz and spend the day visiting the narrow but oh, so beautiful streets of Taormina. It did not disappoint. Every corner is gorgeous, every street has something to offer. And the sea views are amazing. For one day I got to live my White Lotus Summer.
