Gothic Glasgow

Gothic Glasgow

Studied most of my life Art History. When you do that you seek out to see. To feel what it feels like to stand in front of a Michelangelo, or in this case, to go up and down inside a centuries old Gothic Cathedral. Glasgow offered me not one, but three Gothic escapes: The University of Glasgow, Glasgow Cathedral and Glasgow Necropolis. These 3 sites I highly recommend to any seeker of mystery, black history and adorer of everything bleak and gloomy.

Visit the University on a sunny day, Summer time, right before sunset. The majestic building set against the contre-jour light makes an impression. The Cathedral and Necropolis deserve a rainy day, even cloudy, to make the Gothic theme come to life. The gloom and doom present in this particular style is what I crave for. The intricacies of its motifs is what I admire.

As always,

I was wearing: Trench // C&A, Skirt // Zara, Top // H&M, Boots // Altercore, Bag // LiuJo.
