Holiday Look – Christmas Shopping: The Tartan Scarf

December 19, 2015

the cozy tartan oversized scarf

This is the third look of the Holiday Series I’m doing on the blog. Previous Holiday Looks here and here.

‘Tis the season to be jolly, Fa, la, la, la, la, la ,la. That was the song that haunted my ears as I went Christmas shopping last Saturday. I met with my good friend Diana and had some girly fun, as you will see in the photos we snapped, going to the mall. If we were living in the States we would be the perfect Valley Girls. Ha, ha. We first stopped for some coffee to get the courage to actually enter the mall and navigate through masses and masses of people moving like ants from shop to shop to… well, shop. That’s Christmas for you.

Before I get to my very red, christmasy outfit that matched perfectly the red cups at Starbucks, I feel the need to say something first: I like Christmas shopping, but I like it in very minimal doses. It’s bad enough that we live in a consumerism age, and buy and buy (now on Christmas more than ever) things we don’t need, it really isn’t necessary to add more and more stuff thinking things will make us happy. Psychology has a whole chapter on this if you’re interested. Having said that, it does warm my heart to buy small gifts for my loved ones: my boyfriend, his mum, my parents, my brother and his girlfriend. I prefer to shop online but if there is no other way I will visit the physical shops. I can relax for two hours and browse through pretty things.

Holiday Look – The Christmas Winter Jumper

December 14, 2015

This is the second look of the Holiday Series I’m doing on the blog. Previous Holiday Look here.

When I think of winter I think of jumpers. It’s the only comfort I know fighting the cold. You fashionistas probably already know this H&M jumper that Katy Perry sports in their Happy & Merry Christmas campaign. It is already sold out in my country, but I managed to snag one, thanks to my boyfriend’s mother that gave it to me as an early Christmas present. Hurray for mums!

If you have a casual or a company Christmas party coming up than this right here is perfect inspo. I love cozy jumpers, just make sure for a party you pick one that is more bling and cute and not so casual, pair it with some skinny jeans and heels and you are ready to go. But remember kittens: if you’re doing a more loose top then a more tight fitting goes on the bottom. This works vice-versa also: tight top and a more loose bottom. Anything else looks frumpy, and no stylish girl wants that. Continue Reading…

Holiday Look – The Big Bow High Heel Stilettos

December 2, 2015

It’s December!

December marks the beginning of present shoppings and holiday cheer. So from now on until the end of December I’m doing a series of posts about what makes this month for me a month full of sparkle, fun and lovely outfits. This is my first post of the series. (I don’t know how many there will be, my mind is full of ideas all the time, so keep tuning in).

This post is all about the party attire: be it around the Christmas table, at a Christmas party, visiting your loved ones or going to a New Year’s Party.

The Tartan Dress and Black Coat

November 27, 2015

Dressfashion Cheap Prom Dresses
Winter is here, there’s no doubt about it. You can really smell Christmas in the air. The rush in the city only seems to cool down only in the evenings now, and it will continue to do so until December 24th. Somehow I enjoy it. I won’t say it’s my favorite time of the year, because Summer is, but I enjoy Christmas and always will.

Little by little I’m starting to prepare for Christmas myself.

So when I saw this tartan dress on Dresslink I had to have it: perfect for the holidays, cute and comfortable. And I really like the material, it’s warm and soft. Since snow is just around the corner (fingers crossed) I wanted something cute and sparkly, so I chose this rhinestone necklace that resemble sparkly snowdrops. It’s a statement necklace and I really like it, great with winter jumpers to bring some pop and sparkle into your outfits around the Christmas Tree.

The Trench Coat – Sibiu

November 20, 2015

trench jeans and boots

Last weekend we traveled to Sibiu to see a Jazz Festival. The first time I visited Sibiu was in 2007, when it was declared the Europe’s Capital of Culture. Going back, it’s streets, nooks and buildings in Old City were still fresh in my mind. We had only Saturday and Sunday to visit, but we didn’t complain, we found a very cute hostel just where we took the above photo, which had breakfast and was very cozy. These are the first photos where you can see my freshly chopped hair, I never stick with long hair, and cut it whenever I feel I need a change. I know, such girl cliché Continue Reading…

Puss in Boots

November 6, 2015

When I was in London I used to spent a lot of time on the streets, with a coffee or tea in my hand and my camera on my shoulder, eating sushi in Hyde Park, and most importantly looking for any cat related cute stuff to buy and wear. You see, in London you can go out in your underwear if you want to and nobody would notice. It’s such a diverse place that nobody cares. Really, who cares if you wear pink socks with your very casual suit? It’s what make you “you”. But it’s the way you wear them that I’ve always appreciated and that is: with style! I have plenty of cat headbands now, and would like to wear them not just in photos or for Halloween. I like to wear my quirkiness out on full display. Continue Reading…
