There’s something about the color burgundy. A very deep red that resembles blood. Close to purple and a cousin of red. Besides deep, deep blues, burgundy has that closeness with black that I like, that I vibe with it. I prefer all black looks but sometimes I nudge in a pop of color.
I circled this dress for a long time since seeing it online for the first time. You know the feeling you get when you’re eyeing an item that you HAVE to have, although you have plenty more of. I caved in the end, because it never left my mind. A good trick to not compulsively shop is this: if an item never leaves your mind, buy it. There are plenty more who will.
Just like last year and the year before, every May I am back with a free supply of pink peonies that grow in a garden not far away from us. It’s my boyfriend’s mother that has pink and white peonies in her garden. Peonies are my favorite flowers. They always give me inspiration for looks that are feminine and oh, so pretty.
In this pandemic I grew my hair longer. Haven’t had it this long since 2009. I tried making it darker but the blonde sticks to me. My hair is naturally very curly and my hair color close to a red-ish dark blonde. In the end I dyed my roots darker and right now I am back to a very light blonde.
This spring the biggest trend is “daisies everything“. All the pretty daisy prints should come my way. The hair is longer and I can experiment as much as I like with it. In this post you’ll mostly see the back of my head, blonde hair wrapped in a pony tail. And I feel like I should wear my hair up in buns a lot now.
There is a park where tulips grow in many different colours. I went there. Spring hasn’t been kind to me here, it’s like the soundtrack to this pandemic: gloomy, cold, rainy and with no hope in sight for a glimpse of sunshine. Even as I’m writing this, it’s pouring rain outside. The winter cold hasn’t really left.
A good opportunity to wear my other Burberry cashmere scarf. I have it in black also. I wanted to actually sit somewhere and drink a cup of coffee, but it was actually chilly and my little feet were frozen by the end of it. Nature prevails by the end no matter what. And we as humans will get out of this.
