The Power Blazer

That perfect, power blazer. That’s what I thought when I saw it in a thrift shop, right around our street corner. Perfect condition and a Ralph Lauren. It’s beautiful manly cut and beautiful crest buttons, classic pattern and a patch of velvet on the back collar. So today I’m bringing another office look: if you need inspiration for that power meeting you may be too afraid to over-dress or lack the effort to impress.

The old saying goes “You should dress for the job you want, not the one you have“. In the past year this has been true for me, not only because I had to change how I dressed before but I had to slowly transition to office looks. In the past I used to think office looks were boring as hell. But now, because I HAD to do it, my creative person inside me made the transition a little more creative and I splurged on key pieces I thought every power woman should own, starting with classic designer bags and cool designer accessories with a modern twist. I now look for thrift shops every time I visit a new city, I look for vintage markets and I shop online.
