It is possible to own a pair of jeans and never let them go until you see a hole in them, and they begin to disintegrate the more you wear them, begin to get that “wear and tear” kind of quality that you begin to love. If you’ve been following me since the beginning, you’ve noticed I have many pieces in my wardrobe that I repeat in my outfits, my only addiction are tops – the more the better.
I like to preach consumerism and every blogger does that, but not if it’s becoming a drag, not if you cannot enjoy your clothes anymore, cannot find what to wear every morning, because you have so many. Psychological, if one is given too many choices, one becomes to feel underwhelmed and it’s not fun anymore. I don’t own a gazillion pair of shoes and jeans. I don’t have a huge room full of clothes, although now I can fill a small room. Do whatever makes you happy, but remember, any piece of garment that you throw out is polluting our world. I donate mine and have since I was in high-school. I keep those special ones that, even though I don’t wear them anymore, are linked to a fond memory.
