The train from Victoria Station will take you to see The White Cliffs of Dover in just two hours. Make sure you book it in advance and escape London to this beautiful, serene, vast and quite lonely feeling part of Kent. Great for hikes and feeling like any minute a Mr. Darcy could appear on a white horse, coming to save you. On a clear day you can see the coast of France, that is just 32 km away.
A one day getaway, great to escape the big city, the rush hours and hear just the wind. We were lucky: the skies were clear, the sun was warm and the coast of France seemed so close. Quite a drop below, we were careful not to adventure too close, but what a sight. A great, sunny day to remember.
