Edinburgh – The Gothic City

November 3, 2019

Scotland has been on our minds ever since we met. My times living in London had me travelling only to Brighton and one weekend spent in Wales. But nothing prepared us for the amazing sights of Scotland. Today I shall begin with Edinburgh – the Gothic city.

We booked a flight in June from Timisoara to Doncaster and initially we were settled on just seeing the North coastal shore. But Edinburgh seemed so close, so plans changed. And oh, how wonderfully they did.

Edinburgh is better enjoyed in bleak weather. Bleak, rainy and murky. It’s full of magic, a magic best enjoyed if you have a bit of a dark soul in you: feel all the witches around, Harry Potter universe everywhere, get transported back to the Victorian Ages. Old cemeteries can be enjoyed and stumbled upon all through the old town. Continue Reading…

How To Transition From Summer To Autumn

September 29, 2019

If you follow me on Instagram you will clearly see I’m still on an island in Greece. It’s because I cannot let go of Summer. The days may be a lot shorter but I’m still adjusting, The only thing I look forward to now are long trench coats, super comfy sweaters and my cats lounging on me. Literally.

That’s how Autumn is: sneaking up on you until you can’t wear your perfect toes out. And too bad, because I’ve just gotten a fresh pedicure, thinking colder days will be a long wait. So it’s time today I give a “how to” guide for all of you transitioning from Summer into Autumn. My top 5 things to do are: Continue Reading…

Beautiful Corfu Island

September 14, 2019

Beautiful Corfu Island, a little piece of heaven where the cicadas make a noise that is atmospheric, enigmatic and very, very loud. Its cultural heritage reflects years spent under Venetian, French and British rule. Never mind that this island is the birthplace of Prince Philip.

We stayed in Corfu Town and most of our days were spent on Royal Baths Mon Repos beach. I will leave you with the most gorgeous photos, but before that I am going to leave a few tips of where to go and what you can see in Corfu. For a 8 day stay in Corfu we had plenty to do: Continue Reading…

Summer in Thessaloniki

August 25, 2019

And here we are, last week of this Summer. And what a Summer it has been. Full of travels and fun for me. And although I didn’t get a tan (I’m usually very white and now any sunlight has to be managed) I sure did collect lots of moments and laughter.

Seven best friends and one boyfriend gathered in August and traveled through Greece and stopped for two days in Thessaloniki. Today’s post is about one of my favourite Summer cities, third time visiting. What’s great about Thessaloniki is that it offers so many things: the sea, its pretty streets and the old town, up on hills, streets so narrow and full of cats. Every corner reminded me of Italy. How You Like Me Now?

July 31, 2019

I’m stepping away from my skinny jeans and venture into skirt territory. I don’t always show you sponsored posts, I am not here to bring you all the new brands I’ve collaborated with, recently I had none. It is a slow Summer. I didn’t commit to this blog only to get something out of it. As I’ve previously stated, it’s a frivolous escape for me, away from all the terrible things I see, hear and read everyday.

Away from my demons. It’s a curated little corner that I control and make beautiful. I hope you’ve come to like my little corner. I hope you get to see that there are still beautiful things to see and plan a mental escape every time you are here. Continue Reading…

All Marble

July 27, 2019

Summer means never having to say “I only have to wear Summer-y clothes

Break the pattern, wear black, deep navy blues, dark neutrals, go for whites. Today I’m back with another “not so boring” office look, because most of my time is spent in heels. And because I have all this wonderful marble jewelry I thought I’d perfectly match them to a top found by accident in a thrift shop: a silky marble pattern top. “Were they made together?” kind of perfect match.> Continue Reading…
