It was a really hot day, mid-day to be exact. I had sea salt in my hair and my blonde hair was the curliest it can be. Just two years ago I had spotted this corner, but it was dark, late at night and we were leaving the next day. Never knew we would end up again on this gorgeous island, ready to explore new and unseen places with all of our friends. You can check my Instagram for highlights from Corfu Island.
After two years, I am back in Greece, back to where I’ve spent my 2019 Summer. We spent two days in Thessaloniki and almost two weeks on Corfu Island. It was hot and extremely sunny. Thessaloniki is a beautiful city, full of life 24/7, full of tourists and non-stop traffic. Before embarking on Corfu Island, I needed my big city break.
The city offers a wide range of activities and visiting spots that you can enjoy by foot. This time we rented an airbnb right in the port of Thessaloniki, up high. We had the best views every morning, looking out for ships coming and going. At night the city is full of life and you can easily walk the huge city waterfront every day, although it gets really hot during the day.
The tiger lilies are back in our garden. I pass them everyday and usually photograph them with the cats playing around. It’s been a while since I made a blog post surrounded by lilies. The perfect way for this to work this time, is if I had to conjure up a witchy look again, and play with a lot of black eyeliner. The result was better than I had expected. Never mind the scorching heat outside, I was going to wear black. And black I did, with a pop of emerald green.
There’s something about cute floral Summer dresses with long sleeves and backless backs. I am drawn to them. Not a style you would look for ten years ago. This and last Summer I did stock on plenty of those kinds of dresses. My hair is longer, longer that it’s ever been in over ten years also. I like to style it now in pony tails and flowy, easy updos and use dresses to rock that bohemian dreamy style everyone is waiting to wear during those hot Summer days. And let me tell you, where I live, this month of June, was the hottest ever. Still is.
