Let me tell you something: you can be anyone’s Valentine. Those include, but are not privy, to: girlfriends, friends, mothers, brothers, colleagues, cousins, pets, boyfriends, best friends, fathers. In a nutshell those who are your person. Those who define you, make you and sometimes break you, for your own good.
I am not big on this day, as where I live we don’t actually celebrate it. Love should be celebrated everyday, if you ask me. But it’s a favorite time to get my make-up on and dress accordingly. I don’t do big bows and red hearts. I choose black. Although my heart is not.
I stay true to myself and am here to remind you you can love everyday. Doesn’t matter. Celebrate for yourself, the best advice I gathered in this life is that you have to learn to love yourself first, baby girl and then everything will fall into place.
